Fall Fossil Hunt --September 23

Two Sessions: 9 am - noon, 1 pm - 5pm

Join Fresh Air Family in one of the top three Coal Age fossil sites in the world. The Union Chapel Mine was discovered by a high school teacher who lobbied Congress to save the rich earth-history hidden in its rocks. Led by paleontologist, Dr. Prescott Adkinson, this is a one-of-a-kind leap back 315 million years. Everyone leaves with a fossil! These are as easy to find as picking up rocks. A child as small as five-years-old has found a museum-quality piece.
