Join a dynamic new South Alabama Fresh Air Family Club! For a $25 per family per year membership, you visit special destinations with expert naturalists and scientists to guide your way. Some of the events include a boat trip, seining in the marshes, and seeing rare and endangered species. Membership will provide free members-only events and special rates on trips for year-long values.
South Alabama will also sponsor a young Ambassador team. These tweens and teens will be taught communication and entrepreneurial skills by Verna Gates, a Reuters International News reporter who has been nominated as the nation’s top communicator of the year. The course will include writing, presentations, speeches, media training and how to present yourself to the public. The program has been specially priced for the South Alabama club at a monthly payment of $50 and will meet twice a month for a total of 10 hours, plus media appearances and speeches.

with a guided boardwalk tour and a chance to see view several new traveling animal exhibits that we be visiting on this day. We will be offered hands on activities for the kids and learn about the habits of our native species here in the south. Some of the exhibits have never been seen by school groups. This will be such a great opportunity to have educators share thier knowledge of the plant and animal life living among us here in the south.
